30 days of doing the stairmaster for 1 hour every day is DONE ✅ If you're thinking about doing a stairmaster challenge, here’s what you need to know: 1️⃣ The stairmaster helped strengthen my knees, BUT it's not for everyone. If you already have knee issues, talk to a doctor or healthcare professional before jumping in. Personally, I never experienced knee pain during this challenge, which is how I knew it was safe for me to continue. 2️⃣ If you're new to the gym, I wouldn’t recommend starting with a challenge like this. Instead, try walking or incline walking first! But if you’re really set on the stairmaster, start slow and make sure you listen to your body. 3️⃣ RECOVERY IS EVERYTHING. If you're not planning to take rest days, you must stay on top of stretching, eating well, and getting enough sleep. I noticed a huge difference on days when I didn’t sleep enough, so please, prioritize rest! 😴 4️⃣ Just know that the last week will be the hardest. I felt it big time and if you do as well, that’s completely normal. But it’s also the week that will remind you how determined you are and how capable you can be of achieving any goal you set your mind to 💪🏽 These are just a few of my takeaways! If there’s one thing this challenge proved to me, it’s that we’re capable of so much more than we think. The only way to find out what you can really do is to keep going, even on the hard days, even when you don’t feel like it. Because every step adds up. And a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way! Today is my first rest day in a month, and wow, does it feel GOOD to take a break! 🥲 But I can’t wait to share my results with y’all soon. HEALTHY DOES NOT = FAT LOSS Now i’m clearly not saying nutella is better for you than an avocado, in fact its the opposite. But when it comes to losing body fat, you need to pick the foods that have a caloric value that works for you in your fat loss journey. And no singular food in itself is ‘healthy’ or ‘unhealthy’, your diet as a WHOLE would be defined by health. You can still eat nutella on toast and have a very healthy diet, and you can also eat avocado and have a really unhealthy diet. You also can eat either foods and lose weight, it is all about being in a calorie deficit. Indian Fakeaway - Butter Chicken Curry For two portions For the chicken: - 300g diced chicken thighs - 3tbsp fat free yoghurt - 1tsp each of cumin, chilli powder, tumeric and salt - 2tsp of garam masala and garlic granules The sauce: - 1 diced onion - 4tbsp fat free yoghurt - 2tbsp elmea light double cream - 200g chopped tomatoes - 20g light butter - 1tbsp tomato purée - 2 crushed garlic cloves - Pinch of ginger - 1tbsp of sugar - 1tsp each of cumin, garam masala, salt and ground coriander Dice the chicken thighs, and add to a bowl with all the other ingredients and leave to marinade for at least 30 mins. After the chicken has marinaded, heat some spray oil in pan and get it nice and hot, add chicken and cook for a couple mins on each side then set to one side. Then add your onion and butter, cook until onion is soft. Then add all spices and garlic stir for 30 seconds, then add your tomatoes/ purée/ stock and leave this for 15 mins until it’s thickened. I then blitz the sauce in a blender until it’s a nice and smooth. Add back to the pan, stir in the cream, yoghurt and sweetener. Then add your chicken and leave to simmer for 10 mins until your ready to serve. Air fryer Onion Bhajis (makes 8) - 200g sweet potato grated - 2 thinly sliced onions - 1 thinly sliced red onion - 1 whisked egg - 20g plain flour - 1tsp each chilli powder, tumeric, curry powder - 1/2tsp cumin Mix all ingredients together (this gets messy) and I then evenly squashed the mixture in to some silicone cupcake cases, they will look a mess but trust me once they are cooked they come out in perfect little balls. Bake in the airfryer for 20 mins at 180. Or in the oven for about 30 mins Naan Bread - 100g plain flour - 40-60g 0% greek yoghurt - Tsp baking powder - Tsp Salt - Lazy garlic - Parsley This mix made 2 large naans, I gradually mix in the yoghurt, as if you add too much the mix becomes to wet, so I find adding it gradually helps. Once the mix is combined roll in to a ball, I split this evenly in to 2 sections and roll out nice and thin. Then top with the garlic and parsley and then either fry for a couple mins each side or pop in the oven for a few mins (turning half). lost 20kg in my 50's during & after menopause by a calorie deficit, resistance training three days a week, quitting alcohol, walking 10,000 steps a day and now l've incorporated running to train for half a marathon in August 2025.
