Waterproofing our 1912 Basement with Ames Blue Max. This is a liquid rubber waterproofing. It’s user friendly, simply spray, roll or brush on. Any smaller voids can be filled with their Blue Max In A Caulk Tub. I had a few larger voids that needed to be repaired. That process is called Tuck-pointing. Removing the old loose mortar joints and replacing with fresh using a grout bag and tuck-pointing knife to make it smooth. The last step in the basement project was to paint the floor. We used Ames Safe-T-Deck, it’s a granulated paint that goes right on the concrete. This makes it anti-slip and the color with our white walls was a perfect match.
