President Trump’s executive orders are so out of touch with the reality of a public school classroom. Teachers and staff work tirelessly to make these rooms and buildings a safe space for every child. We aren’t indoctrinating our students. But we ARE coming to work everyday with the fear of our school being “next”. NONE of these executive orders are doing anything to address gun violence in our schools. The President even dismantled the School Safety Board, the board HE created after Parkland. Our teachers and children deserve better. Update: when I made this video I completely forgot that I had one doctor tell me that between 10-20% of children are carriers of strep. More than likely, Kennedy was a carrier, and the flu was so damaging to her immune system that It basically activated the strep bacteria. THIS is why I shared her story, because 10-20% is a HUGE number of children at risk for the very same thing happening to them. Flu cases are soaring right now, and two children just died in the state of Michigan. Get vaccinated, wash your hands often, and stay home if you’re sick. Take any new symptoms seriously and don’t delay care.
