Body dysmorphia is weird. Somewhere around the age 13-14 I started to obsess over my weight. I always felt bigger than what I was. Now that I’ve gained weight after having my son, sometimes I THINK I’m back in that small figured body, but I’m clearly not. The amount of pressure women put on their bodies needs to be studied. 💙Save and share this unique swimming hole. The Peekamoose blue hole is located within Sundown Wild Forest in the Catskills forest Preserve. The waters are crystal clear. There are these beautiful rocks to jump off of and the water is maybe 10-15 feet deep in the center. It is also freezing cold🥶. We went early summer but the only thing that I’ve ever read is that it is always cold. 💙About a mile north you can also visit Buttermilk Falls, the 36 foot tall waterfall. This waterfall is dramatic! You can see it from the road and once you park you have about 2 minutes walk to get to the waterfall. Parking is available for a few cars. There are also longer hiking trails you can explore. 🚙We went at the beginning of season and middle of the week, so we were lucky because it wasn’t crowded. In the middle of the summer it is very challenging to obtain a permit, and parking is more challenging. We were able to park basically across the street from the entrance to the blue hole. But as parking fills you have to park further away and up to a mile away. 💙 carry in and carry out. Please please please respect our planet. They always have big issues with people leaving garbage. Don’t be that person. Porta potty at main lot. 💙GPS got us in, but we had no service while we were there. It took almost 15 minutes before we regained.
