There is water between the amniotic sac around your #baby and baby’s head. 🔥When you have a contraction the baby’s head presses downwards and the bulging water sac can be seen on the outside of the vagina. Sometimes you will see baby hair floating within. (It can also bulge within the vaginal canal.) 💧YOUR WATER WILL BREAK WHEN IT IS INTENDED TO BREAK!! Naturally 8-10 centimeters and before baby is evicted out of their 9 month womb house. 💧When the water breaks, baby’s head can make its appearance shortly afterwards to cross the finish line. 👐🏼Sometimes a provider can get handsy and want to pop it. The Forward Leaning Inversion is one of our favorite @Spinning Babies techniques! This movement is so important because it helps to lengthen the cervical ligaments and release the fascia, making room for baby to make big or small adjustments in their positioning. Who wouldn’t want to shave hours off of their labor?!! It can also help reduce back, tailbone, and hip pain. The Inversion is a great exercise to do in labor as well! Let me tell you about it’s magic 🪄 . I did this at 40 weeks + 6 shortly after a membrane sweep and 15 minutes into this position contractions started. There are 3 positions that you do. You do each for 30 minutes so in total 1.5 hours. I know it’s long but it can really get things started. It can! This is not a promise. What it does it that it helps baby to get into an optimal position in the pelvis.
