What do you wear as a high end wedding photographer? Yes, I dress up for weddings. Yes, I shoot in gowns, jumpsuits, and sometimes looks that make people go: “Wait… YOU’RE the photographer?” ⠀ But here’s the truth: I always ask the dress code. Some weddings are black tie. Some want me fully covered. Some say, “Go all out!!” As a luxury wedding photographer, I show up in full glam , hair done, makeup done, holster on, dressed to the nines. Because this is my brand. And the luxury market respects it. Some clients invest $10,000 to $50,000 to have me capture their day , and I show up with the presence and polish that level of trust deserves. But just because I do it this way doesn’t mean you have to. My friend @Josh Huggett and I had a whole conversation about how we show up to weddings completely differently… And still, we’re just two people who love this job in our own unique way. ⠀ That’s the magic. Whether you’re a bride, a planner, a creative, or a photographer.. Don’t be afraid to show up fully as you. Because when you feel good, you shoot better, serve better, and connect deeper. #weddingphotographer #luxuryweddingphotographer #weddingphotographeroutfits #spiderholster
While photographing in Bali, our couple dreamed of a shot on this rock, surrounded by the ocean. But from where I was standing, the light was casting too harshly on the rock or barely touching them. Even if I brought Mallory closer , the waves were wild, and safety always comes first. So we adjusted. Climbed barefoot across sharp volcanic rock. Got black sand in places we will never speak of. Our clothes were drenched. And still… we all kept going. All for the photo. Because this is what people don’t see , the dedication behind the shot. The discomfort, the problem-solving, the chaos… all to bring someone’s vision to life. And in the end? It turned out to be our favorite image of the day. Worth every scratch, splash, and sunburn. 🌊🔥 #BaliWedding #PhotographerLife #BTS #DestinationWeddingPhotographer #weddingphotographer #Photomagic
