In a heartfelt video message, Eric Church announced the surprise release of his new song, “Darkest Hour.” He dedicated the song to his home state of North Carolina, signing away all rights and royalties to support the state's recovery efforts. “Not only for now, but forever,” Church shared. “It’s no longer mine. It’s theirs. All the proceeds, all the money, all the future money.” Church said he’s been helping with “boots on the ground” efforts to address immediate needs but he hopes “Darkest Hour” will provide long-term support for those affected. “This is not a quick thing to fix, so hopefully ‘Darkest Hour’ will be able to contribute to that for a long time to come,” Church said. “This song goes to my home, North Carolina, now and forever.” Find ways to assist Hurricane Helene victims in the link in our bio.
