1. I got denied from nursing school the first time. Getting denied pushed me to become a CNA and gain real healthcare experience. This made me a stronger nurse in the end and even more prepared for nursing school. 2. I did not get a 4.0 GPA in nursing school and guess what? No one cares now! The workplace doesn't really ask you about your GPA! 3. I’m not ashamed to admit I believe that if you’re mean to new nurses, you don’t care about the future of healthcare or your patients. One day, they might be the ones taking care of you or your family….so lift them up. So why not foster them and teach them, rather than whispering behind their backs or saying, “They’re not ready” or “They’re not made to be a nurse”? 4. I’m not ashamed to admit burnout is real. Caring for others can take a toll on you– mentally, physically, and emotionally. Focus on refilling your cup because when you care for yourself, you’re able to show up the best way you can for others! 5. I’m not ashamed to admit I still look things up. Even as an RN. 💉 How to Remove an IV IV’s are commonly placed for patients in the hospital. They allow us to provide medications and fluids in a fast acting way!
