A calming compilation of October moments. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to spend most of the day in the garden with the ducks which was so needed. Been a busy (and poorly) few months so it was a tonic. Most of the food and flowers have turned to mush now and I need to transition the space for winter. Mulching, planting herbs and cover crops to overwinter, and getting some bulbs in the ground. We have solar panels on the house now too, which I almost didn’t want to do for fear of them not looking nice but we are so so happy with how they are working already, and to be an extra step more self sufficient. #cottage #garden #ducks #runnerducks

Magic moments from this year in the English countryside. Including spring tulips at Dyrham Park, beautiful summer hydrangeas at Great Chalfield Manor and Tynesfield’s autumn squash display. #england #garden #gardensoftiktok #countryside #slowliving #calm
A love letter to the garden 🌷 I’m enjoying that if you watch the clips in chronological order (winter is the oldest section, autumn in the newest) the quantity of ducks and willow hurdles increases. I haven’t really had time to spend in the garden this week, and I miss it. Wishing you a happy Sunday. #garden #ducks #cottagegarden #runnerducks #calm
This year so far has felt like a bit of a whirlwind so I thought I would stop and look back over it all. The last couple of years I’ve focused on building up flowers for autumn and winter so that I can enjoy those times of year more, and it’s definitely rewarding me now. #garden #ducks #cottage #cottagegarden #runnerducks #homegrown #flowergarden
October from my cottage garden. Tomato plants just about hanging on and asters still looking lovely. It’s my first year growing asters and I’ve been told it’s not been a great year for them so maybe next year will be even better. It’s been a chaotic month to be honest with too much going on so I’m hoping November will feel slower paced. ☀️ #cottagegarden #garden #ducks #runnerducks
The garden has completely changed the way I feel about winter and here are just a few of the reasons why. Especially fond of February for the hellebores and early flowering bulbs. #garden #cottage #gardensoftiktok #calm #countryside #cottagegarden
You could either take away from this video to keep going, or that winter is depressing 🙈 open to interpretation. #garden #cottage #ducks #seasons #cottagegarden #runnerducks
