This was one of the last songs Nightbirde wrote before she passed in Feb 2022. Titled “still got dreams” this song spoke to jane’s world crashing down around her but she still anchored herself in her dreams and God. - Her dream was getting music intovthe world and having you all be positively effected by her story and her art. Releasing this music that Nightbirde never had the chance to release is our part to honor her, her legacy, her art and most importantly to honor and help other women with breast cancer through The Nightbirde Foundation. - You can preoder this song now by clicking the link in bio on IG or by going to the Nightbirde website. - We are so honored to also have @Mzansi Youth Choir on this new song releasing 12/6/24. Jane’s message of hope inside the darkness continues. - - - - #nightbirde #nightbird #dreamer #dreams #insoire #hope #encourage #dreams #mzansiyouthchoir @Geoff Duncan #agt #itsOk #goldenBuzzer #legacy #rip #janenightbirde
“The story ill tell” by @Maverick City Music was Jane’s anthem. Months before she passed she started chatting with her team about releasing this single as her own. She never got the chance to release it herself, so her family and team released it the same year Jane passed. For the ones struggling, this was Jane’s version as a gift to help get you through the struggle. If you havent heard it yet, its available everywhere, including the full video on the Nightbirde youtube. We hope this song gives you as much inspiration and hope as it did jane. - - - - - #nightbirde #storyIllTell #maverickcitymusic #coverSong #nightbird #cover #cancerJourney #cancerStory #rip #agt #goldenBuzzer
From Jane’s producer @Geoff Duncan “When we started finalizing Jane’s new album, we knew we were missing one very special detail… After covering her song “It’s Ok” on social media, and later bringing that same cover to the @America’s Got Talent stage (earning their own Golden Buzzer,) we knew we needed @Mzansi Youth Choir on Jane’s upcoming song “Still Got Dreams.” I had the incredible honor of meeting their choir director @sidumonyamezele and the team on zoom — and the choir did a breathtaking performance, right there on the call. It gave me chills back then, it still does whenever I think about it… Shortly after, Sidumo shared the session files of their voices and I was able to incorporate them into my version of Still Got Dreams. I couldn’t believe how incredible they sounded, bringing so much emotion to the song. I know Jane would have loved hearing their beautiful voices complimenting hers, bringing so much energy, light and love to the song. The choir’s performance includes really beautiful lyrics in isiZulu… “We ngoma ngiyakholwa Kuwe usisibonelo.” … which translates to “I believe music is a wonderful gift.” Her voice and her lyrics are the gifts that keep on giving. I’m really proud of this one, I think Jane would be too. I hope you love it as much as I do. Available this Friday ✨🫶🏼” - - - - #nightbirde #nightbird #positiveMusic #encouragingMusic #hopefulMusic #hope #inspiration #encouragement #agt #goldenBuzzer #itsOk #newMusic #posthumous #rip #memories #legacy #nightbirdeLegacy
A write up from @billboard It’s been nearly three years since Jane “Nightbirde” Marczewski, a fan-favorite contestant on season 16 of ‘America’s Got Talent,’ died of cancer at age 31. However, her legacy lives on through her family, who have been releasing her powerful songs posthumously. Her latest single, “Still Got Dreams,” arrived today and features the Mzansi Youth Choir of South Africa, who got the Golden Buzzer on season 18 of ‘AGT’ by paying tribute to Nightbirde with a cover of “It’s Okay” during their emotional 2023 audition. “I can't put out the fire But I'll stay with you While the edges of the night grind against your temples There's distance in your eyes that I cannot close” An excerpt from “Distance” a poem by Nightbirde that is now on the Nightbirde.CO website. Jane’s hope for her art was that it would, at least, positively effect someone. To that someone, we hope this finds you today. #nightbirde #nightbird #poem #poetry #distancePoem #writer #storyIllTell #cancer #BreastCancerAwareness #breastcancerawarenessmonth #hope #inspiration #encouragement
