Two rare, high end bourbons that people hunt down versus 2 low shelf, budget bottles that I love. I debated even posting this for obvious reasons, but it's as real as it gets. Here is the thing: I am certainly not the end-all be-all authority on bourbon tasting, but EVEN if you consider me to be an AVERAGE bourbon drinker, with an AVERAGE palate, having a BAD palate day, then this is STILL an important video, with important results. I enjoy hunting. It's fun. But whiskey is SO subjective, your palate changes SO often with what you eat or what kind of mood your in... odds are you're walking past bottles that you'd love in order to hunt down bottles that you'd hate. PS: from what I've seen online, this specific release of Old Fitz was specifically bad compared to others. I wouldn't know, because I haven't had any others, but do with that info what you will. I'm showcasing every whiskey I own that I think people should try, and this is number 2. Number one was the sweet, approachable, and mild Redwood Empire Pipe Dream. Today's bottle goes the other direction with the spicy, full bodied Russell's Reserve 10yr. If you didn't like the Pipe Dream - if you thought it was too mellow - then this ones for you. There are a lot of whiskeys out there that I think are worth trying, so I've decided to highlight them.
