Swim time with Archer! This is her last outdoor swim for a little while, because she had to have one more procedure done to drain the final deep abscesses from her bite wounds . Hopefully this is the last time. From over 30 deep puncture wounds down to just three small pockets that need healing. My heart is just overflowing today seeing these two so content in each other's company🥰🥹 after a few days of quarantine and separation, the first days of introducing Archer and Quiver were much rockier than expected. I have never seen a beaver have the strong inconsolable reaction than what Archer had to meeting Quiver. Even Arrow, who eventually had to be separated from Bo due to aggression, did not react so strongly initially. Right now, we are not 1000% sure the gender of these two babies, but it will possibly have a big impact on their long-term compatibility. As I have mentioned many times before beavers are incredibly social and loving within their family groups, but can be really territorial, especially towards beavers who are they are not related to of the same gender.
